Currently, I manage all content creation for a software company. This content includes marketing emails, webinars, sales presentations, case studies, infographics, and videos.

Adding new users and devices to Cisco’s UC environment has never been easier. Using one, web-based interface, akkadian Provisioning Manager Express takes the tasks of moving, adding, changing, and deleting user configurations away from Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Cisco Call Manager).

This Cisco Attendant Console for Unified Communications and Collaboration replacement allows a phone operator to efficiently answer and handle multiple incoming and outgoing calls with ease.

Global Directory is a simple-to-deploy directory solution providing a unified directory experience on Cisco IP Phones, Jabber, and mobile devices.

DonorsChoose.org was created in 2000 with the simple idea of connecting teachers in need of classroom supplies with citizen donors willing to pitch in. Diverse in terms of geography, language and nationalities, the firm offers equally diverse clients expertise with deep experience in worldwide legal traditions. But, this business model does create a complicated communications infrastructure.


B2B Blog Posts

Often, I use current events as both inspiration for blog post topics, as well as a way to piggyback on industry buzz. Other times, I use Google Search Console to select keywords to use as the basis of a posting. In addition to these two methods for blog topics, sometimes I use company updates, events or product releases as the foundation for fresh content. The below examples are a mix of all three.

I researched the best ways to implement a company-wide new technology adoption plan. Then, I wrote the script, designed the presentation, and delivered this webinar for BrightTalk. I also wrote and executed all promotions for this webinar.

All three are about the same software product, but each video was created to resonate with different types of IT professionals; likewise, each video is intended to be used at different stages of the sales process.

Creative Writing Samples

The first profession I ever remember saying I wanted to be was a writer. As a kid as young as seven, I ran around family events with a reporter's notebook and interviewed relatives for first-hand accounts of the day's events, scrambling to complete a handwritten newspaper before sundown. It was no surprise that I felt at home in English classes and claimed that as my undergraduate major. As I developed and honed my writing abilities, I decided that I should teach writing and language arts to teens. I applied and was accepted into an accelerated graduate program for those with expertise in writing but wanted to learn teaching best practices.

Even as I moved away from teaching as a profession, I found writing would always be a part of my daily life. Whether I'm at work, sneaking in a Yelp review on the subway, or spending Sunday afternoons with my writing group.

Fashion Brand Development & Design

Product

A newly launched NYC-themed graphic tee brand recently deployed its eCommerce site and email newsletter, as well as its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. The brand was looking for identity and voice.

Strategy

Because the brand launched with only 7 unique tee designs, I needed to get creative. How could I make enough assets for many months of original posts to multiple social media accounts, a web site and email campaigns? I decided to use my location and brand inspiration, New York City, for inspiration.

 Content

I pulled elements within the shirts' designs for a basis of campaigns to start, each week focusing on a new shirt. Also, I called upon famous New York City landmarks and pop cultural icons, as well as seasonal icons, for themed campaigns.

Design

With zero budget, I relied on my own photos of NYC, existing editorial photographs, original sketches and stock vectors. I even used the original vectors from the tees' designs to integrate into new graphics. Using red, black, white and font from the brand's logo, I created a consistent, look and feel to all assets.

Execution

Digital graphics must be sized appropriately for every media outlet. I learned and stayed up-to-date on best practices for designing graphics for each platform. I created test accounts, trying each image for readability and functionality before posting. Furthermore, I learned how to design and execute MailChimp campaigns.

A Cisco Solutions Partner custom develops apps, as well as sells software to Cisco's Unified Communications and Collaboration install base. 

Strategy

Use Google Adwords to get the attention of Cisco customers searching for solutions. Utilize the re-marketing and targeting capabilities of the Google Display Network. 

Content

Create eye-catching yet professional designs that could convey the software's purpose in an instant. 

Using Google Keyword Planner, build a comprehensive keyword list and compelling ad copy to flag down potential customers to the brand's site. Use Google Adwords settings to strategically use every character allotted. 

Design

Use images from the individual software package pages to retain consistency for the viewer. 

Execution

Utilize Google Adwords and Analytics to create goals and track success, making copy and bid adjustments as necessary to average a 1.2 Google search ranking on all campaigns.
